How does HIP work?

01.

The material, usually in the form of a powder or casting, is placed in a sealed capsule made of metal or glass.

The pressing chamber is filled with an inert gas (e.g., argon).

03.

Under the influence of pressure and temperature, the powder sintered or the porous material was compacted.

04.

Once the process is complete, a dense, non-porous material is obtained.
